Suzii Paynter is a graduate of Baylor University and Stephen F. Austin University who hails from San Antonio. She holds a Master of Education degree. Suzii has significant experience in community relationship building with multiple stakeholders using the collective impact model, and her previous work in education and advocacy fits perfectly with Prosper Waco’s stated objectives. In the past, Suzii has held advocacy and leadership roles with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and Pastors for Texas Children. Through these endeavors and her affiliations with many other associations and groups, she has worked on issues ranging from education to poverty to prison reform.
Suzii’s recent work with Pastors for Texas Children has been recognized for advancing education funding in the 86th legislative session. For ten years, she has helped vulnerable people recover from and prevent predatory lending. Her personal honors include recognition for ethics, cross-cultural and women’s leadership. She was honored as a distinguished alumnus from Baylor University in 2019. In her role at Prosper Waco, Suzii will continue to be a servant leader assisting the residents of Waco with social safety net programs and what she describes as “on-ramps to a successful life.”
