Emily Hunt-Hinojosa, Ph.D.

Director of Research and Community Impact

Emily Hunt-Hinojosa serves as director of research and community impact at Prosper Waco. She is responsible for evaluating progress toward community goals in the areas of education, health and financial security.

Dr. Hunt-Hinojosa holds an Associate Fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture where she employed prior to joining the team at Prosper Waco. She has been a Waco resident since 2013 and has experience conducting community-based research across a variety of McLennan County organizations.

Her interest in communities and civic life began while serving as the resident director of the Cortina Program, a service-learning program for college students at Creighton University.

She holds an MA and PhD from the Department of Sociology at Baylor University, as well as both an MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs and a BS in Social Studies Education from Taylor University.
