In partnership with the Prosper Waco Women’s Health Working Group and the Healthy Babies Coalition (HBC), this community-wide campaign will encourage women, ages 18 to 25, in our community to receive their annual well-woman exam. The focus of the campaign is to reinforce the important message that women who receive preventative care remain healthy and increase their chances for a healthy pregnancy. The Prosper Waco Women’s Health Working Group, with funding from Waco Foundation and the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District’s Healthy Texas Babies grant chose to work with SUMA Social Marketing to develop the campaign.
For the implementation phase of the campaign, the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District will take the lead through the work of the Health Babies Coalition (HBC). With funds from the grant, SUMA is creating various components of the campaign.
Elements of the campaign include an educational health magazine for women, a website to connect women to health resources, social media graphics and field testing of campaign materials for women ages 18-25.
