2016 is starting off on the right foot when it comes to economic development in Waco. According to the Waco-Tribune Herald article, officials announced three sizable industrial expansions that will add 121 jobs and retain 591 full-and part-time positions. Waco businessman Bill Clifton and Kris Collins, senior vice president of economic development at the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the steps the community has taken to address the quality and quantity of the current workforce, such as the Prosper Waco initiative and the creation of an internship program.
