HOW WILL WE GET THERE?

  • Increase percentage of Kindergarten-ready students
  • Increase the percentage of Third Grade students meeting standard on Third Grade reading assessment
  • Increase the percentage of economically-disadvantaged students who complete a workforce certificate or college degree

Compared to other Texas communities, McLennan County residents will live healthier lifestyles and access the best available care

HOW WILL WE GET THERE?

  • Increase the percentage of residents covered by health insurance and decrease the use of the Emergency Room as a source of primary care
  • Decrease the percentage of Waco-area adults and children considered overweight or obese
  • Improve women’s health indicators by reducing disparities of poor birth outcomes and the rate of teen pregnancy, while increasing the percentage of women receiving annual preventative care
  • Decrease the use of the Emergency Room for mental health treatment and improve McLennan’s County ranking in Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s component of “poor mental health days”
